I really love this …
I really love this song and video; it’s beautiful and evocative and full of grace. Incredible job!
And a woman doesn’t need to be constantly victorious to be ‘kick ‘. She can suffer and still be strong.

I haven’t seen any …
I haven’t seen any of the films or television shows pictured here – only Marie Antionette – and I have to agree that this showed the true essence of the song more clearly than anything else could have.
I particularly found the image of the woman in the ballet coustume and the interchanged clips of her being hung to be haunting and beautiful.
Terrific job in capturing the poignancy of this song so well.

i also agree that …
i also agree that this was not a women kicking video but you nailed this song visually! you nailed the essence of this song! fantastic job!

most of the video …
most of the video didn’t show women kicking . They were shown being killed, used sexually, and emotionally vulnerable. I realize that in their movies, in their entirity, they probably had stronger parts, but that message was not conveyed in this video. I’d see some of these movies, and would have picked stonger clips.

I really …
I really appreciated your video. It really brought out the strong, deep, complex aspects of women which are often overlooked. What movie is it with the women with short hair in a straightjacket?
Thank You for your efforts

Most of these women …
Most of these women were real women portrayed by actors. Marie Antoinette and Joan of Arc did exist, and “Girl Interrupted” was a film based on real events. The other images are also artistic representations of real events. for example, the picture of Evvie being shaven in “V” is evocative of the women killed in the Holocaust. All very tragic, very real. So I think if you don’t see this as being “real’ enough maybe you are being a bit too literal. Just a thought.
