what is the best item to MERCHANT in runescape?

Posted on October 30th, 2009 by admin

I’ve been merchanting earth rune and it takes too long to buy it for 15 and sell it for 16. I need a quicker and better way to earn money by merchanting. Whatever i try to merchant it doesn’t work. oh and i have 2mils now and i am a free worlder. I need some suggestions about what items are good to merchant.

Its very difficult to merch and make good money on f2p and with a limited amount of money to spend. To be honest I would just get money by mining ess or runecrafting or something until you have more to spend.

if you are a member buy silk for 2 gp in al karid and sell it in ardouge for about 200gp i think. I think this is the best way for merchenting.

    Hm.
As a free player, you’re limited, but I would try watching the knowledge base to see what’s going up/down, popular items, etc.

You can merchant rune platebodies. I haven’t played in a month or so, so I don’t know the current prices, but buy about 1.5k under and sell 1.5k over. The average return is the highest for nonmembers at 5.7% average return.

Merchant, ahh, I’m good at this, so I think I’ll be able to help :)

Something I’ve been merchanting lately is Dharok’s Set.

Minimum price: 4.0m Market price: 4.2m Maximum price: 4.4m
    Change in price:
    7 Days: +5.9% 30 Days: +11.0%

If you cannot afford the full set, try just the helm

Minimum price: 3.2m Market price: 3.4m Maximum price: 3.6m

    7 Days: +7.1% 30 Days: +11.9%

Abyssal Whips… hmm, well Its around 1.6m now, but its going down, so I would wait allitle time before doing that.

There is no single best item to merchant; the best items vary with the market. To find a merchantable item, use the Grand Exchange feature on the RuneScape website (not in-game). Look up items that are bought and sold often, such as herbs, armor, and weapons. Once you have selected an item, click on the thirty-day graph. Try to find an item that has recently dropped in price (use the daily average line), and is just starting to level off or rise. Buy the item in whatever quantity you please via the Grand Exchange. Each day, check back on the item’s graph: when the item’s price starts to "peak" (the price starts to level off at a high price), sell all of your items.

Careful: make sure that you will be able to *sell* the item you choose. If you buy an item that isn’t in high demand, you will be unable to sell it, and you will lose out.
