Is there a way to find out who a company uses for merchant processing?

Posted on November 18th, 2010 by admin

If I am trying to locate information on a company, is there any way to discover who they use for their merchant processing to accept credit cards online?

Sure. Place an order and read the page very closely. Depending on the company, the portal may be visible. Watch the status bar as you move over the links; watch the address bar as you click through. You could also just email their sales department and ask, something along the lines of, "I’d like to place an order, but for my own peace of mind I’d like to know who your processor is."

How does the Merchant of Venice teach us about friendship?

How does the Merchant of Venice teach us about friendship? (Please use evidence from the text)

Thank you.

I’m assuming your question is one you’ve been asked to respond to for an assignment, so I think it would be best to read the play and to figure out the answer for yourself. However, I will tell you that The Merchant of Venice does not teach the lesson of friendship. It teaches TOLERANCE.

What type of character is the crystal merchant from the book The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho?

Posted on November 14th, 2010 by admin

Is the crystal merchant static or dynamic, and is he flat or round? I don’t really exactly what all the flat round, static dynamic, differences are. I just know one is changing, and the other is unchanging. But what would make the crystal merchant flat/round and static/dynamic?

The crystal merchant wohldntbe static, as his
mind defonately changes views on life after the
boyhelps him. Though his mindset is still the same,
his belief is stronger

What happens if a merchant issues a return on an item on a credit card that has a zero balance?

Posted on November 12th, 2010 by admin

For example, I pay off my credit card, I have a zero balance. I decide i don’t want something and return it to the merchant, how will the new balance look like? Will it affect the outcome of my highest available balance
obviously but if my credit limit show as higher because of this

Simple, it becomes a credit balance. If you don’t use the credit you may ask for a check.
Your limit will NOT show higher. Your account will show a negative amount due.
This is not an extreme action it happens all the time…………..

If a company has $100K or more per month in transactions.
About 500-1000 transactions a month, what’s the best rate they can get?

All domestic customers

Can any merchant, gateway beat Moneybookers & Google Checkout?
2% + 29 cents

Would it be different if they did
$500K in transactions, over 1000 transactions a month?
please provide details and help.

How do credit card merchant accounts work?

Posted on November 7th, 2010 by admin

Like after a customer uses their card, where do the funds go?
What do I need to do with the receipts/card slips?

Thank you!
ALSO: I know the account has to be linked to my bank account, how long after the customer uses their card will it appear in my bank account?

Hello,

First Step= Customer comes to your site and do checkout and enter his details .. if a programmer already integrated your shopping cart with your credit card billing gateway .. the payment details go internally and they get a response (Order Successful, Order Failed).

Second step= Buyer get notified .. and received a slip ..

Third Step= You must have a backoffice (gateway panel) where you can login and view the transactions occured everyday etc.

like at www.activemerchant.com they provide gateway along with virtual terminal to process credit cards manually too by entering into their secure area to charge credit cards.

What is the best credit card merchant account company?

Posted on November 5th, 2010 by admin

I would like to accept credit cards for my small photography business. There are a number of companies out there offering to sell merchant numbers. Has anyone had a merchant number or know a company that is good to work with. Ideally I would like to run the credit cards over the internet as I don’t have a land line phone but will be selling more like retail.

There are many companys offering credit card acceptance –but you must find one that is "friendly"to a small business like yours.

There is really no way of saying which is best—without knowing what sort of figures you plan to offer….You may be better off with Paypal or similar. A lot of people will not use credit cards on-line..because of the fear of theft…and rightly so—because you are even stating that you are only going to use this service on-line. That is theft waiting to happen …..because of chances of over billing..multi billing…re-incurring billing ..stolen cards…and many other issues that you will get charge backs for. ( in case you don’t know that means YOU lose money !!! ) Without having a real store where buyers physically arrive with card ..and you slide said card…the costs will be astronomical in cost…because the credit card companies will understand this risk…and charge you accordingly. So as soon as you tell the on-line business–they will run from you–or charge you !!!

I highly suggest PAYPAL–they aren’t the cheapest…but your customers will be able to pay without fear of theft from on-line predators.
