Is there a good cheap merchant service to use on ebay besides payal?

Posted on October 31st, 2010 by admin

I refuse to use paypal. This question is actually a few questions. Do you know of a service such as moneybookers (but not them) that is cheap and can be integrated onto ebay? Also, would it work with a savings account instead of checking? Last one, can you use it to pay other people using paypal?

I use Authorize.net and i can refer you to the person who set up my account. If you are a MOTO ( Mail Order, Telephone Order) Merchant. they can give you a merchant account with no monthly fees.
go to http://www.wickeddezigns.com/Payment-Security-Information.html and look over the payment gateway. Also come to my second website ( www.wickedcomputerrescue.webs.com) and i will doo a live chat w/ you if you need.

Credit Card Merchant Company what is needed?

Posted on October 29th, 2010 by admin

I want to create a credit card merchant company. That runs debit cards also. Visa, Mastercard, Discover etc etc. What kind of servers and software is needed? I need to also know what type of regulations I need to follow. Also how much a year this industry makes a year? From the ground up what do I need? Can someone ever answer this question? I always get dead ends.

This would be very difficult to pursue, mainly for network security reasons. For example, can someone decide to be an ATM processor? They would have access to the deepest private files held by banks on people’s accounts. Thats’ why banks are mainly the only ones who handle merchant accounts. I would say you would need an extensive business history, have at least $100, 000 start up capital for licenses and software, and maybe that amount again for a security bond, if it would be possible at all.

Does anyone know if companies like MSI Canada, EVO and other merchant service companies actually pay well?

I was looking at jobs online and it seems as though these companies are always hiring, though they advertise salaries of $60,000 or more. I believe they are mostly commission based, but I want to know if there is anyone out there that actually has one of these jobs and actually makes a good salary?

Job searching can be a tricky job in itself, especially if you’re not used to it. I was struggling with my job searching over the past few weeks until I found the site in the box below site which has some brilliant guidance for job seekers. After doing as they advised for a couple of weeks I netted myself a brilliant job.

are ecommerce merchant card service fees deducted for tax?

Posted on October 23rd, 2010 by admin

how are the fees when you use a merchant service such as paypal to accept credit cards on an ecommerce website deducted for income taxes? would you subtract all the processing fees from the amount payed by the customer to give you a net income? or are they subtracted as a write off?

The entire amount paid by your customers is included in gross income. Then, the merchant service fees are deducted as a business expense. If you are using Schedule C to report self employment income and expenses, merchant service fees are deducted on line 10 for commissions and fees.

Please Help! Does any one know if there is an agency set up to oversee merchant service providers?

I have this Merchant services company (First Data) that I contacted for credit card processing fees trying to bill me now for there services. I never signed anything with them and when I called them to find out what their problem was I was told that they have my IP address and that was as good as signed contract. If I want to cancel the 1 yr contract it will cost me $$$.
Where do I file a complaint?

You should certainly contact the BBB but usually there is a clause that you have 45 days to change your mind about the contract. That’s pretty standard in the industry.

How long does a merchant have to process an authorized credit card transaction online?

Posted on October 15th, 2010 by admin

I finally got through to someone at the bank who had a clear answer. Once a payment is authorized the merchant has 30 days to collect the money. If they decide to collect the money after that point is considered a fraudulent transaction.

Almost everything is done electronically now a days. Once the merchant swipes your credit card it is automatically sent to your credit card company. If a merchant did a manual charge and held it for an overly long period of time, you need to check with your credit card company to see how they handle that type of situation. I would think that each individual credit card company has their rules pertaining to how long a charge should be good for, just as banks have rules regarding how long a check is good for, though that rules applies to all checks and all banks.

Does a merchant have a limited period of time to process the purchase with the credit card company?

Posted on October 12th, 2010 by admin

If I order something by phone or on-line and I receive the item but the purchase never appears on my credit card, how long is the merchant allowed to delay processing my payment? After a certain amount of time does their ability to process it expire?

One time I returned something to payless.
That darn company took about almost 60 days to credit my account.
(by credit card)
I don’t know if this lady at corporate was telling me the truth, but she said,
they have 60 days to process payments and debits.

Don’t call that merchant and remind them.
You might just get the item for free.
They may have lost their receipts.

How to process a credit/credit card payment through a third part not paypal.?

Posted on October 10th, 2010 by admin

I have a merchant account as i have run a business for several years. I opened a new business and have applied for a new merchant account and was refused as the business is classed as high risk it is the same as what i currently do i am spliting the business in two so i have a north and a south. I run the south and my collegue runs the north. My provider cardent after some debate said they would give me a merchant account if i put £20K as a holding deposit. i have never had a customer dispute in all the years i have ran my merchant account and turn over £250K a year. I do not have the money obvisouly to sit in there bank account.

Does anybody know a any company were you can process the payments they hold the money for however many days/month then pass to you.
Customer pay direct over the telephone so i do not think they would be very happy if i then went and processed there card via paypal.

Have you tried Netbanx? They’re UK based and you can talk to them about any problems you have. We were changing from Paypal to them before we changed the focus of the business that we needed the facility for and found them very helpful.
