Do merchants need physical credit cards again when they make a refund to the card?

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

I recently paid some hundreds dollars for something that I have never received, I have finally got hold with the merchant after a couple of days trying, but now, they asked me to back to their store which is 2 hours one way there, so they can give me the refund, because they will need my credit card again to process the refund. I am not sure if they just jerk me around.

Nowadays most of stores do not ask for the original credit card while doing refund.

Please advise if you know how this works. Thanks a lot.

I would not expect to have to drive two hours for a refund. Call them up and read the CCV number to them if that is what they need. They should be able to process it that way. If they continue giving you a hassle, tell them you will dispute the original charge with the credit card company in writing, then do it.

To the person who asked about Shazam check debit from checking account.?

Posted on October 25th, 2009 by admin

I can’t answer you again, apparently. They’re an electronic merchant processing system. They are the ones who add a fee for payments processed electronically.
* You had to have had paid something by electronic check for that amount. That’s just the processing center for it that the company used. You used an electronic check or debit for that amount. They are just the processor.

You can go back on that question, go down to your answer & there should be an edit button so you can add this information.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS3…?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I currently have a Yahoo! Merchant Account. I want to know how hard it is to create a professional looking website using dreamweaver CS3. I’ve downloaded the trial, and so far I can make a cheap "mickey mouse" looking website. I am in the Ecommerce business and it is VERY important to have a professional looking website. I don’t have the money to pay a professional web designer, so I want to know if Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 would be a good investment. I have had some education in C++ and in HTML. Also I have heard that you need Adobe Flash CS3 or Adobe Photoshop to create professional looking web banners and interactive elements, is this true? Is there anything else that is cheaper? Please only honest answers. Thank you.

if u really want make professional looking website so must have knowledge of Photoshop, Flash & Dreamweaver and designing u dont have any knowledge of programming . for basic u know HTML, PHP, CSS, & flash actionscript for flash. here i suggest u a website free template & for tutorials that is www.templatesbox.com, www.tutorialized.com, www.flashkit.com/tutorials/, www.actionscript.org/resources/categories/Tutorials/

What is a Merchant’s Banner from the Medieval Time Period?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

My daughter has to make a Merchant’s Banner from the time period of the Medieval, but we have no idea what that is. She is in 7th grade and it is for her Social Studies Class.

It is the banners of the coats of arms of medieval guilds including skinners, glaziers, pewterers and goldsmiths.
Religion also played its part in guild life with many trades having their own patron saint, for example, St Augustine for brewing and St Adrian for butchers. The patron saint might also appear on livery and banners used by the guild.

Some ideas:

What are some good items to merchant in the grand exchange for rune scape?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I have about 200k and I wanted to merchant, but i dont know what to buy… what should i merchant?

Meh, I’ve never really merchanted. I do skills instead. I guess you could do armors, runes, potions, and seeds/herbs. Those are probably good starters. Maybe you should merch something that’s hard to get. If it takes a few days to get the item, don’t worry. It’ll be worth it.

Whatever you do, don’t do it with a Merching Clan. It’s really annoying, the owners buy the item in BULK first, and it’s impossible for you to buy the item. That’s what I’ve heard anyway… ;]

Sophie.

Can a merchant issue a second charge for another service to the card without the cardholder approval?

Posted on October 23rd, 2009 by admin

I approved a charge on my credit card by telephone for my adult son at a dentist. The dentist then charged a second separate visit for additional work without asking me for approval. I am fighting this, but my credit card company is not helping much. Do I have recourse?

The dentist should have a signed authorization. Have them produce it. If they can’t then challenge the charges on that basis. Fill out the credit card company’s dispute form (it’s very important that this be done so there is a written record). You do not have to pay disputed charges until the matter is resolved.
