Jews of Iraq? What about them?

Posted on September 26th, 2009 by admin

No matter if in Iraq or other places. All people need respect.

Remeber Lennon sing: IMAGINE.

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say,
I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day
You’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say,
I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day
You’ll join us
And the world will be as one.

Hello, I have spent a lot of time looking at different payment gateways for my e commerce sites. I decided on Authorize.net
They are professional and the customer service is great. I have never had problem reaching them when I had questions.

I was thinking like you about Paypal. But then I kept getting requests from customers to add paypal. After so many customers asking about it, I did add Paypal to my e commerce site. I didn’t realize how many people shop using Paypal accounts.
Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you.

I hope this helps.

Sony Financial Services Card??? Where Can I Shop?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

What online merchants can I use my Sony Financial Card at?
I know for one www.cruthfields.com but it heard that quite a few other places.
I don’t want to shop at sonystyle.com they are too expensive.

Thanks.

Couldn’t find any information online other then Crutchfields. I would suggest calling Sony Financial to find out. 1-866-204-7795, Mon – Fri 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (MT) Sat – Sun 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (MT)

Why do International Credit Card transactions take so long to be processed by the merchant?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

I’ve had this happen to me with all my credit card transactions I did in Japan (although I noticed my Malaysian transactions were pretty quick to process). They’ve come onto my credit card up to 3 months after the purchase was done, and subsequently, putting my credit card over the limit – even though I had funds in my card when I made the purchase! Plus on top of that, my bank charged me an Over limit Fee for it! I think that sucks, as I had money on the card when I was in the store – I didn’t ask for the transaction to take so long to process.

Is there anything I can do to stop this from happening in the future?
(Besides using my card overseas).

Would the same thing happen if I were to use a Debit/Credit Card instead?

Each one uses his/her redit card differently. I use mine to spend my money, -not theirs- and never have a problem.
If you want to do the same as I do, as soon after you have made the transation, get into your internet banking account and pay that money from your bank into the card.
That’s it.
I understand that if you are abroad for a month and you don’t want to use internet cafes, then it might take a month before you do this, so you could transfer the money you are thinking of spending BEFORE you leave for your trip.
Yes, this beats the point of -borrowing- but I said it at the beginning what I do, I don’t see any point in borrowing as such..

How do I become a merchant seaman?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

I am interested in a career, but I am having a hard time finding out what my training would be. I would like to find an apprenticeship somewhere near Oakland, Ca. If you have any information on becoming a merchant seaman I would appreciate it.

A merchant seaman is a catch-all phrase that includes licensed deck and engine crews, as well as unlicensed crewmembers. The ships can vary from large container and tankers, military ships, commercial, tugs, cruise, etc. There are several very good maritime schools scattered all around the country, and where you are located is a goldmine of training, jobs, etc.

Depending on what you want to do on a ship (bridge, engine, steward), I suggest you can start by contacting the local unions (I think that Seafarers (SIU) is a good place to start) as well as contact your state Maritime School – Cal Maritime. You can also access the US Coast Guard site for information on the documentation you will be required to have even before you step on a boat. Some of the schools have alumni chapters where you can call and ask for help.

You can also do searches for merchant marine groups or clubs that are on the internet who will undoubtedly have lots of members who can also provide you with information.

Credit card company gave me a permanent credit, the merchant is suing me for the money, what should I do?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

I went to Huntington Honda dealer in Huntington, NY 11746 and placed the order for brand new vehicle.
Ordered few accessories including 1) Fog Light 2) All Season Mat 3) Cross Bar 4) Cargo Board 5) Backup Sensor
Went to pick up the vehicle on Nov 14, 2005 in the evening.
Gave the cashier’s check for the huge amount and some remaining money ($2149) by credit card
Realized next day that the backup sensor were what I ordered. Went through lot of hassle to get it fixed.
Had to dipute credit card charges.
The credit card bank converted the temporary credit that they had given me to a permanent credit.
They send me a letter saying that their investigation is over and that the temporary credit is now a permanent credit.
Under the terms and condition of the my credit card it mentions that if I am not satisfied with the purchase and tried in the good faith to resolve the issue and not happy with the result, I do not have to pay the amount.
Dealership is suing for $2149 on credit card

Sounds like you eventually got what you ordered and it is working properly? If so I don’t understand what your problem is? You owe them 2149.00, period. Just because the credit card made it a permanent credit doesn’t absolve you from having to pay the debt. Now, if your disputing the amount you owe because of the hassle you had to go through to get what you ordered then that is a different issue entirely and you have to settle with the dealership for that amount. But either way you owe $2149.00 or an amount that you settle for with the dealership.

is it possible to buy a pdq machine or are they only supplied by barclaycard merchant services??

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

You are able to buy a PDQ but the merchants that operate the card transations make it very difficult to get them programmed for your merchant number and phone number that the pdq dials. I personally brought two from viking, the stationary suppliers, but my merchant services would not programme them to work on their system. i gave up in the end and rented from them, installed and working within 48 hours. They have a monopoly on the pdq’s. The only benefit to renting is that you will get the support you need if they go wrong, although i have never had one go wrong in 12 years. If you are unable to agree a good rental deal with barclays then try another provider, all the banks offer this not just barclays.

International Merchant , how can i accept credit cards from buyers on ebay ?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

Paypal does not accept my country , and all the other sites that allow me to accept credit cards seem to have the same countries as paypal , Is there any site that processes transactions other than paypal that you know of and allows Lebanon as a merchant account ?

I use Allied Wallet. It is an e-wallet just like paypal, and also provides merchant accounts internationally.

web hosting or merchant plan?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin

if i wanted to make a web site to sell my images and i am using dreamweaver can i get the web hosting account from yahoo instead of the merchant account because it is cheaper, or will i get into trouble. I do not need all that crap that they offer to build a web site.

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/ecommerce/

thanks

I would read the terms of service.

If the standard hosting account doesn’t permit you to sell any item from that hosting account then you’ll have to go either with the merchant account or to get hosting from another provider.
